Urban terrain with some small parks, medieval half-timbered town at Sprint final. 120 and 250 metres above sea level. There will be public traffic in some areas.

Climate:

Near the Harz-mountains weather in the end of May is usually moderate with temperatures between 15 to 20 degrees.

Accommodation:

Hard floor accommodation at school Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium in Bad Harzburg (Georeference: 51.88509, 10.55837) from Friday 8 pm to Monday 10 am. More accommodation via Tourist-Information (www.bad-harzburg.de, www.tourismus-huy-fallstein.de, www.hornburg-erleben.de).

Catering:

Breakfast at hard floor accommodation. Catering at Event Centres.

Entry:

Via Eventor until Sunday 26th April. Late Entry until Wednesday 21st May if still maps are available. By Qualification-race on Saturday is mandatory for Sprint final on Sunday morning as for Knockout final on Sunday afternoon it is only possible to enter for both competitions.

Venue:

By car via Highway 36 and 369, Road 4 or 6 to Bad Harzburg. Via Highway 36 (exit Osterwieck or Stapelburg) to Osterwieck. By public traffic via train to Bad Harzburg and via bus to Osterwieck.

Event Center:

Horse stud Bad Harzburg for Qualification and Knockout Sprint final, Am Schlosspark 17 (Georeference: 51.88959, 10.54465). Festplatz Osterwieck for Sprint final, Rudolf-Breitscheid-Allee 15a (Georeference: 51.97048, 10.70381).

Mode Sprint:

Qualification on Saturday and Final on Sunday morning.

Mode Knockout Sprint:

Best 18 women and best 18 men of Qualification on Saturday enter for semifinal on Sunday afternoon. Final of best six women and best six men follows on early Sunday evening. Runners who will not enter half-final will be given the opportunity to run one leg.

Additional events:

There will be German Championships in sprint-relay on Monday 25th May in Hornburg (Georeference 52.02938, 10.59965). All participants at World Ranking Event will be given the opportunity to take part with team mates or for example in mixed-teams if they send an e-mail to support@ol-dm.de.

Distances:

Hard floor accommodation – Parking 1,5 km (Bad Harzburg), 19 km (Osterwieck), 25 km (Hornburg). Parking – Event Centre 500 m (Bad Harzburg), 100 m (Osterwieck), 500 m (Hornburg). Event Centre – Start 1500 m (Saturday in Bad Harzburg and Sunday morning in Osterwieck). Finish – Event Centre 0 m (all days).
